Pool Champion at 9 Ryan Simpson is the new 9-ball pool champion of the Langhorne pool hall Rack Room. He had managed to outplay all of his contestants at the Philly pool hall traditional 9-ball championship held last month. This was nothing but trivial data if the new pool champion wasn't a student at Quarry Hill Elementary School.
The Rack Room's 9-ball championship was surprisingly (and embarrassingly) won by a 9 years old pool player who is just one foot taller than the standard billiard table. However, the regular crowd of the Langhorne pool hall is already used to Ryan Simpson's presence around the pool tables.
Great grandson of William Manera, professional pool player from the era of Willie Mosconi, Ryan's parents were not too when their 6 years old started cueing. He took his first children's pool cue to a local 8-ball tournament at the age of 7, and since then he had attends pool tourneys regularly. And, according to his proud dad, he was never ranked lower than the 6th place.
