New World Woman Pool Champion

Kelly Fisher championed the WPBA United States Open 9 ball Pool Championship on Sunday after beating Iris Ranola. This winning put the English pool pro at the top spot of the Women Professional Pool and Billiards Association ranking list and drove Karen Corr away to the second spot.

Fisher had joined the American women pool players' community in 2005 after a successful snooker career that included seven European Snooker Championships and six World Snooker Championships. Following an intensive year of qualifiers and tournaments, she had gained her first pool title, the 2006 San Diego Classic championship.
