9-Ball Championship Title Shared by Two Players

The first Predator 9-Ball Tour's Women's Open was won by Iris Ranola and Liz Ford. The 9-ball event, held on July 19-20, 2008 at the Parsippany pool room Comet Billiards and sponsored by Jim Murnak Cue Cases, featured some of the top WPBA players from the likes of Megan Minerich, Caroline Pao and Emily Duddy. 

The weekend of the Predator 9-Ball Tour's Women's Open consisted of series of race to 7 matches against the top women billiard players in the US. At the end of the long and exhausting second day, the two excelling players Iris Ranola and Liz Ford decided to share the 9-ball pool championship title with one another. 

Ranola, of Philippine origin, has been winning in several regional events ever since her relocation to the States back in February. Liz Ford is one of the most outstanding female billiard players of the era with list of titles that include two times Northwestern Women’s Regional Tour champion, 2000 New Jersey State 8-ball champion, and 2005 Tri-State Tour champion.
