3rd 8-Ball Pool Tournament in the Challenge SeriesThe third 8-ball pool tournament in the IPT Challenge Match Series will face Rodney Morris heads on against Marlon Manalo on Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 at 9pm (EST). Like the former 8-ball pool tournaments in the series, the match will be available, free of charge, on IPT website. The International Pool Tour (IPT) presents the 3rd challenge match with Marlon Manalo vs. Rodney Morris. As the second match in the series, the two pool players are representing their home countries, which happen to be the natural habitat of today's leading pool players: The Philippines and The United States of America (respectively). Marlon ManaloMarlon Manalo shows that Francisco Bustamante and Efren Reyes are not the only great pool players who've emerged out of the Philippines. The 28 years old pool player had gained outstanding achievements throughout its relatively short professional career. In 2000, he had already claimed Asian Snooker Championship. Within three years, he had gathered 3 silver medals: one at the 2001 World Games in Akita and two more at the 2004 Asian Game held in Vietnam. Most recently, Manalo has finalized the IPT North American Open. Rodney MorrisHonolulu native Rodney Morris has been playing pool professionally for the past two decades. Nicknamed "The Rocket" Morris has won the 1996 US Open Championship and the 2001 Sands Regency Hotel's Reno Open 2003 and was runner-up in many 9-ball pool tournaments. In all of his participation at the Mosconi Cup, Morris stood out as one of the leading players in the American team.
