10Ball Pool

10ball pool is a combination between 8ball and 9ball. It is a call shot game, played with the cue ball and ten object balls in ascending order (i.e. the cue ball must hit the lowest numbered ball on the table). The object of the pool game is to pocket the 10-ball legally.

10Ball Rack

The 10 object balls are racked in a triangular device with the 1-ball on the foot spot and the 10-ball in the middle.

Opening Break Shot

The player who wins the lag can decide between breaking and ordering the opponent to break the rack. The opening break shot is taken with the cue ball in hand behind the head string and the player has to either pocket an object ball or cause 4 balls to hit a rail. If a player pockets the 10-ball on the break shot, he wins the game.

Push Out

If the breaker has committed a legal opening break shot, he may announce his intentions to play a "push out". On a push out shot, the player is not required to meet with the legal shot requirements including hitting the lowest object ball and causing a ball to hit a rail after contacting the cue ball. If a player pockets the 10-ball on a push out shot, the 10-ball would be spotted.

Fouls

On top of the standard fouls, in 10ball pool, not calling a ball prior to shooting and not hitting first the lowest numbered ball on the table, are considered fouls as well. After a foul, the incoming player plays the cue ball from the position left by the offending player. When a player commits three consecutive fouls, he loses the game.

End of the Game

The player who legally pockets the 10-ball, wins the 10ball pool game.
